Ingredients
For the garlic butter
140g butter, softened at room temperature
6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
Handful of parsley, finely chopped
For the dough
200g strong white flour
1x7g sachet dried yeast
1 teaspoon salt
160ml warm water
Method
For the garlic butter
Finely chop the garlic and parsley.
Mix into the softened butter until fully combined.
Place in a pot to spread onto your bread base, or to serve with dough balls.
For the dough
Mix the flour, yeast and salt in a large bowl.
Slowly add the water, mixing gently with a spoon.
When the dough starts to form, tip out from the bowl onto a lightly floured surface and knead together for 5-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Lightly grease a large bowl and place the dough inside. Cover with cling film, leaving to stand for 30 minutes.
Tip the dough onto a lightly floured surface
Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a circular shape about a cm thick.
Grease a baking tray and place your base on, spreading with a layer of garlic butter.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 220C for 8 minutes or until golden and crispy.
For dough balls
Instead of rolling out into a flat base, when proved, split the dough into about 15 small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
Grease a baking tray and place the balls on, baking for 8 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 220C or until golden.
Serve in bowl with the garlic butter on the side.
*If you don’t want to make your own dough, why not use Napolina Pizza Bases. Spread the garlic butter across the pizza base and bake in a pre-heated oven at 220C for 10 minutes.
